 1983 – 2000  

• Received  a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication
• Became an advertising manager for a Nashville-based record label
• Developed an addiction to alcohol
• Became a business reporter for a morning daily newspaper
• Got sober
• Became an account manager for an academic advertising organization
• Became a vice president of market communications for a subsidiary of a major multi-national corporation
• Became the communication director of a Washington DC-based political action, education and policy organization
• Became the marketing director and operations manager for a community mental health services organization
• Trained as an oppression reduction/diversity appreciation workshop facilitator with the National Coalition Building Institute

2001  

• Diagnosed with a mental illness
• Became a licensed practitioner of Science of Mind   
• Taught anger management and domestic abuse prevention courses to court-ordered, violent offenders

2003

• Received a Master of Science degree in Social Work
• Accepted appointment as an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work
• Became a substance abuse counselor working with opiate and other polysubstance abusers
• Received a  Personal and Professional Coaching degree from CoachU

2004

• Became director of housing and homeless services for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services

2007

• Became statewide director of community outreach in Tennessee for one of the world’s largest managed care companies

2009

• Received a Bachelor of Divinity degree
• Became an ordained minister of the Universal Brotherhood Movement
• Became a licensed advanced practice social worker (LAPSW)
• Created a private coaching and spiritual counseling  practice

• Trained in experiential therapy at Onsite Workshops

2018

• Trained in Level 1 Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

2019

• Trained in ARISE® Comprehensive Care with Intervention
• Trained in Level 2 EFT
• Trained in Level 3 EFT

2020

• Became a Clinical Consultant for American Addiction Centers
• Survived Corona Virus Pandemic

2021

• Became a Senior Therapist at Integrative Life Center

2022

• Developed and co-facilitate Family Workshop Weekends with Carmen Dominguez, LPC, and Cheryl Brown for Integrative Life Center
• Became a staff minister for Center for Spiritual Living Nashville
• Experienced a spiritual journey into Toltec wisdom with Gini Gentry and Carmen Dominguez on site at Teotihuacan, Mexico

2023

• Became a Toltec camp counselor in service to Gini and Carmen in Teotihuacan, Mexico. (He has the t-shirt to prove it.)
• Began studies toward certification as a Religious Trauma Therapist

2024

• Established a company with Carmen Dominguez creating individual, family, and group intensives and workshops called Soul-Full Journeys (more information at www.soul-fulljourneys.life )

2025

• Continues a private practice as a Recovery Coach/Spiritual Counselor
• Continues as Senior Therapist at Integrative Life Center
• Continues as a Staff Minister at Center for Spiritual Living Nashville
• Continues as a Toltec camp counselor in Teotihuacan, Mexico
• Began studies toward certification as an Internal Family Systems Trauma Therapist
